FRP Gel Coated Composite FRP GRP Panel Rolls
Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) is an ideal material for the production of cold storage panels due to its excellent impact resistance. it is commonly used for walls, ceilings, floors and doors in refrigerated trucks.
The manufacturing process of FRP gel coated truck body involves several steps.
Firstly, a mold is created which will determine the shape and size of the panel,the mold is then coated with a release agent to prevent the GRP from sticking to it.
Next, a layer of gel coat is applied to the mold and left to cure.This gel coat serves as the outermost layer of the panel and provides a smooth and aesthetically pleasing finish.
Following the curing of the gel coat, layers of fiberglass are applied to the mold using resin as a binder.
These layers are usually applied in a criss-cross pattern to increase the panel's strength and resistance to impact.
Once all the layers have been applied, the panel is left to cure in a controlled environment. The panel is then removed from the mold, trimmed to its required dimensions and, if necessary, sanded or painted.
